One of the most common areas of bulk oil cargo claims is cargo out turn / shortage or cargo contamination or both particularly with multiple grades being carried at the same time. 

Scorpius Marine LLC surveyors have sailed for many years on various types of oil tankers both as Chief Officers directly in charge of cargo operations and in Command of the vessel. They are knowledgeable about ship suitability for the nominated cargo, preparing cargo plan, loading and discharging operations.

We are regularly called by the P&I Clubs, Charterers and Oil Companies to carry out on board the ships, cargo shortage and contamination investigation to determine the root cause.
